Enhancement

Seeking to integrate a significant dimension of research into its manufacturing process, l'Atelier d'Offard has committed to exploring increasingly experimental techniques to elevate its wallpapers. This innovative approach pushes the boundaries of creation, offering unique products that blend tradition with modernity.

In pursuit of movement, an entire series of wallpapers was created using wide oscillations of brushes—a continuous ballet of brushes caressing the paper. In fan shapes or large circles, the paper appears animated by a perpetual flow. Each brushstroke adds a new dimension, transforming the paper into a dynamic work of art that evolves before the artisan’s eyes. These creations are the result of meticulous experimentation, where innovation and the pursuit of refined aesthetics are at the heart of our artistic approach.

Abstraction and Modernity in Decoration

Pulled along the background table, the paper is adorned with scratches or random landscapes, flowing in the regular rhythm of the trough. A syringe deposits a fine red line, contrasting sharply with the brushed backgrounds, creating a striking contrast. This technique gives the paper a unique aesthetic, where the hidden details invite contemplation.

Transparency Inspired by Japan

The discovery of an exceptionally fine paper in Japan opened new creative perspectives. By applying oil in random patterns, we were able to impart a unique transparency to this paper. A succession of dye baths reveals landscapes that evoke the undulations of water, adding incomparable depth and lightness to our creations.

Towards a New Era of Enhancement

The enhancement of our wallpapers is not only a matter of technique but also a vision. By combining ancient gestures with contemporary innovations, we create pieces that transcend the boundaries of traditional design. Our wallpapers are not merely wall decorations, but works of art in their own right, meant to inspire and captivate.

We invite design and art enthusiasts to discover the richness and diversity of our hand-crafted wallpapers, where each piece tells a unique story and reflects our passion for innovation and artistic excellence.
