Potel et Chabot - IX Gabriel
Paris, France
Designed especially for IX Gabriel, the new venue by Potel et Chabot, this artwork echoes its surroundings by reinterpreting the iconic landmarks of Paris: the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Palais, the Seine, and the Eiffel Tower.

At the heart of an urban jungle where anything is possible, Potel et Chabot brings its art of French hospitality to life, with an unmistakably Parisian flair.
This mural offers a dreamlike interpretation of the Place de la Concorde and its surroundings. Inspired by an idea from this prestigious French gastronomic house, Ateliers d’Offard created this work in carton-pierre, a traditional material that has been sculpted, modelled, engraved and moulded.
Made from chalk, paper scraps and natural glues, and prepared in bakery dough mixers, this material allowed the décor to be built up in successive layers, much like a theatrical set.
The result is a journey through a city both famous and imaginary, where an unexpected cast of animals takes to the stage.
